Why: Roy was born in Lebanon and grew up in Sweden since the age of eight. By age 14, he had already catapulted himself into the Beauty industry. Visiting his Father in Land O' Lakes, Roy became addicted to the Florida weather and soon after, relocated there. Wanting to bring deep culture, fashion and flair to the area, Roy bought out the J. Joseph Salon and has been setting the bar for the most Iconic salon experience around.

Roy believes that at his salon, it goes deeper than just a haircut. In this week's episode of Icon Savvy, Roy explains how he and his incredible team of stylists not only travel to Paris and Italy at least once a year to scope out the newest fashion trends for hair, they also stand by their Redken and Pureology products and show clientele how they can achieve their breathtaking salon looks in their own home.

Looking towards the future Roy talks about his hopes for opening a new location in 2011, however his current focus is on the upcoming Tampa Bay's Dancing With The Stars 2010, where Roy will be putting his best foot forward and dancing as a "celebrity" to benefit Julie Weintraub's Hands Across The Bay.

ICON SAVVY MEETS URBAN BODY

Who: Icon Savvy TV – Leading Society News with host, Brandi Kamenar

What: Icon Savvy turns up the fashion heat with local men’s clothing store owner Scott Moore of Urban Body Men’s Clothing Studio, a staple for the past ten years in Tampa Bay for men’s clothing. Scott pulls up a chair with Host, Brandi Kamenar and explains his inspirations behind his one-of-a-kind men’s boutique, the celebrity roster that shops there, his own personal community involvement and what we can expect to see from them in the upcoming months!

ICON SAVVY GETS ARTSY WITH LOCAL PERSONALITY AND GALLERY OWNER

What: Icon Savvy meanders over to the Michael Murphy Gallery M to not only check out some original Picasso’s, but to also bring viewers an exclusive interview with gallery owner himself, Michael Murphy. Why: Owner of the Michael Murphy Gallery M, Michael is a Tampa native and has had a passion for the Arts for as long as he could remember.
